Aloha Workshop, is an interactive, multicultural workshop providing a creative learning
environment for the "Keiki" and "Kupuna".
(That means for children and adults!)
Our mission is to
instill a sense of
Aloha in each student through imaginative thinking, problem solving, and self expression. In the process we incorporate the performing arts with language and visual arts to experience the diverse history of our 50th State, Hawaii.
We look forward
to working with the arts staff and classroom teachers to conduct
programming and classroom planning in Multicultural Studies. Aloha
Workshop is geared to grades kindergarten through 5th grade via
performance, lecture, and our visual display of Hawaiian culture. Students and teachers will
explore natural living through the art of hula, storytelling, music,
game and
craft. Our program has been approved by the School Board of Broward
County and Broward Cultural Affairs. Aloha Workshop is listed in
the Arts in Education Directory and does meet the Sunshine State
Standards.
